The Florida Atlantic Owls showed no mercy in their first game at the Battle at the Beach tournament, dismantling the Lynn University Fighting Knights 10-4 on Friday.

Owls forward Emilio Stabile kicked off the tournament after he scored four minutes into the first period, starting an avalanche of goals. The period concluded with five more Owl goals added to the scoreboard, placing them in the lead 6-0.

Week eight of the College Hockey South season begins on Friday, Oct. 25. This weekend, four Florida rivals will compete in the Battle at the Beach tournament in Palm Beach, FL.

The Florida Atlantic University Owls will fight to keep their spot as reigning champions against Lynn University Fighting Knights during the second annual Battle at the Beach tournament.

The battle between the two teams will occur at 7:00 p.m. ET on Friday at the Palm Beach Skate Zone in Lake Worth, FL.

The Tampa Spartans brought the thunder against the Miami Hurricanes during their first home games of the season with a 14-2 win on Friday and another 12-2 win on Saturday.

Tampa forward Justin Evans racked up eight points with four goals and four assists by the end of the weekend.

Evans finished game one with a hat trick, scoring one goal during the second period and two in the third. Justin assisted on the game-winning goal, sealing the Spartans' victory.

The South Carolina Gamecocks followed their National Championship banner-raising with a rousing three-goal comeback to win 4-3 in the shootout Friday night.

The Ice Dawgs led the first period, with George Mesaros (26) scoring the first goal unassisted in the first five minutes.

Dylan Punzenberger (15) and Evan Moore (18) followed closely behind, scoring the Ice Dawgs last two goals within the first period.

The Week 2 Game of the Week transpires in Irmo, SC, where the University of Georgia Ice Dawgs vs. the University of South Carolina Gamecocks.

The game will be held Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET at Flight Adventure Park.

The Gamecocks will not only be kicking off the home portion of the 2024-2025 season but also raising a banner for their 2024 AAU Division 1 National Championship.
